Mull Head Wildlife Walk

  • Spectacular scenery
  • Seabirds
  • Wildflowers
  • The Gloup (a collapsed sea cave)

The Mull Head Wildlife Walk is a circular route around a local nature reserve in the East mainland of Orkney. Our walk will include a visit to The Gloup (collapsed sea cave), views across to the Brough of Deerness and some spectacular coastal scenery with a picnic on the cliff tops.

There is a lovely variety of habitats including farmland, heath, rocky shores and cliffs which host a range of wildlife – mammals, wildflowers, insects and of course lots of birds. Breeding seabirds include Shags, Fulmars, Razorbills, Skuas, Gulls and if we are lucky we might spot some Puffins.

“We had a marvellous day out with Megan looking at the wildlife on and around Mull Head.”

“We had a wonderful half day walking with Megan on Mull Head. She is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about Orkney and its wildlife, and a great guide”
