A short circular walk which takes you through open farmland and along cliff tops, giving stunning views of Scapa Flow and the uninhabited islands in the Pentland Firth. We will pass by numerous wartime buildings from both WWI & WWII. There are beautiful wildflowers to be seen, as well as Tysties (Black Guillemots), Puffins and other breeding seabirds. If we’re lucky we might even spot a cetacean.
Please wear walking boots, and take warm, waterproof clothing, plus a snack/drink. Binoculars and a camera are recommended.
