This is a lovely circular walk taking in the Gloup (a collapsed sea cave) and the Brough of Deerness (an old Viking settlement). We will wander along the coastline enjoying the stunning views out to the North Isles, whilst looking out for seabirds and wildflowers. Watch the Fulmars making the most of the wind, fly-bys from the resident Bonxies (Great Skuas) and if we’re lucky we might even see a Puffin.
Please wear walking boots and warm waterproof clothing. Binoculars and camera recommended. Bring a packed lunch/snack/drink.
Booking essential – details of when & where to meet will be given once the booking is confirmed. There are shorter walks available too, please enquire if you are interested in a short version.
