Our island adventure starts with the ferry crossing from Stromness where we will be out on deck spotting birds and other wildlife. Once on Hoy, we will take the minibus service to the Dwarfie stone car park. We will spend approx. 1 hour here, which will include the short walk to the Dwarfie Stane, all the while keeping an eye out for raptors including the resident pair of White Tailed Eagles. We will then enjoy a ramble along the road to Rackwick where we will enjoy a late lunch and explore the beach, before taking the minibus back to Moaness for the ferry.
Megan is very passionate and knowledgeable about the return of White-Tailed Eagles to Hoy, and has been a part of the RSPB Eaglewatch team since the start in 2015. She will be able to share the story of their return to Hoy with you.
The price includes the minibus fare, but the ferry fare is not included and must be paid by you on the day.
