Our new Seasonal Special Winter Coastal Walk will take you for a wander along the cliffs and coastline of Orkney to witness the spectacular scenery and wintry weather.
There are 3 different walks to choose from, details below:
Marwick Head – A short circular walk taking in the RSPB reserve at Marwick Head. The walk starts at the Choin where we can watch the wildlife in the bay, and around the pools at the back. We follow the path up onto the cliffs to the Kitchener Memorial, where we can stop an admire the stunning views. Walk length approx. 2.5 miles.
Yesnaby – This is a linear walk (there and back the same way), following a cliff top path to the North or to the South. The views along this stretch of coastline are stunning looking South to the Old Man of Hoy or North to Marwick Head. Walk length approx. 2-3 miles.
Mull Head – A short circular walk around part of the local nature reserve at Mull Head in Deerness. We will visit the Gloup (a collapsed sea cave) and enjoy the views as we follow the coastal path. On a clear day we will be able to enjoy good views of the Northern Isles. Walk length approx. 2-3 miles.
Please wear walking boots, bring warm waterproof clothing, a drink and a snack. Further information on where to meet and what to bring will be provided with your booking confirmation.
