Welcome to Wild Orkney Walks where we can take you on foot to beautiful locations and show you our wonderful wildlife. From the busy seabird cliffs, to colourful wildflower meadows and white sandy beaches, our walks cover it all. One of the many things we love about walking in Orkney is the surprise of the unknown, you just never know what you might see and where, which adds to the enjoyment of being outdoors.View Walks
My name is Megan and I am Wild Orkney Walks. My aim in setting up the business is to share my love and passion of Orkney and its wildlife with people.
I have been interested in wildlife from an early age. Growing up in the Highlands I was surrounded by nature and I have always loved being outdoors, regardless of the weather.
One of my great passions is the story of the White-Tailed Eagles on Hoy and I am equally as passionate about dragonflies, mammals, insects, our beautiful wildflowers and stunning scenery.Read More
Wild Orkney Walks re-opened on Saturday 18th July. We are restricting bookings to one household/family group/extended social bubble per walk. We are unable to provide transport, but we meet at a convenient point and some walks link in with public transport. All our walks are risk assessed and guidance is provided on what to bring, recommended footwear and clothing. Please contact us if you would like further information and we look forward to seeing you soon.
In addition to the standard walks, Wild Orkney Walks offers other services like Bespoke Walks and Wildlife Guiding.
In addition to our standard walks we also offer a Bespoke service, where we can customise walks to suit your requirements.
I can also be hired as a wildlife guide for an existing tour group, a taxi tour or I can join you in your own vehicle.
