I went in on an evening walk around Yesnaby one evening on my recent trip to Orkney. I would highly
recommend a tour – it was really interesting and allowed me to get the most out of visiting the amazing
area of Yesnaby.
Wonderful Evening Walk
We’ve just had a wonderful evening walk with Megan. We can now identify a range of flowers and sea birds and learned loads about their behaviour. Megan knew all the best viewing positions, was very patient , informative and knowledgeable and explained things clearly. She chatted freely about life in Orkney and was very relaxing to be with. everything was paced to our level, ( we are over 70) safety was always a priority and she took very good care of us.
Wild Orkney Walks is a Hidden Gem
An excellent walk around Orphir and Swanbister – Megan’s Hidden Gem Swanbister Circular Walk. Megan is a knowledgeable and engaging guide and we found a wide variety of plants and birds on this varied walk on Megan’s home patch. Easy paced walk giving plenty of time to explore and enjoy the local wildlife. Megan was also very helpful suggesting other places to visit on the Mainland and other Islands
A Wonderful Walk
Enjoyed a wonderful morning walking and enjoying the wildlife with Megan. She’s so knowledgeable and her love of the wildlife and the countryside shines through. We learned so much about the local wildlife – thoroughly recommend!
Seals and chatty Fulmars
Lovely easy walking cliff top walk from Burwick on gentle South Ronaldsay with expert guide Megan
pointing out all sorts of plants and sea birds and seals that would have otherwise passed us by. Great
views of Pentland Firth, Hoy and Scapa Flow.
We joined Megan at the car park at Earls Bu, and walked down to the coast line of Orphir Bay. Walking and watching the birds, insects, butterflies and wild flowers along the way.
An informative interesting couple of hours. We were so lucky with sunshine but there were lots of midges!
