A highlight of my trip to Scotland
I took the Seabird City walk with Megan today and it was wonderful. She is very knowledgeable and happy to share what she knows. I gained a great appreciation for Orkney and all its flora & fauna (especially its birds). The day was a highlight of my trip to Scotland.

A fantastic time
We did the Seabird city experience! We had a fantastic time on this walk! Megan is incredibly knowledgeable and so open — she’ll happily answer all your questions and really makes you feel at ease. She also pointed out comestible plants, insects and wild flowers along the way which was a lovely surprise.
The wildlife was just amazing — razorbills, guillemots, puffins, gannets, a bonxie, ducklings, eider and shelduck. What a list!
Megan is so kind and engaged, she really made the experience special. Honestly, can’t recommend her enough — just go! 🐦

Highly Recommend
As I only discovered this walking group around 3 weeks before I went to Orkney, I was well pleased to get on the first ever Puffin Experience to Westray. Our host was great, we got soaked, and most of all, I got to photograph Puffins. Anyone who likes to be outdoors, I highly recommend Wild Orkney Walks!

A grand highlight of the trip!
Megan made our seal pup hike a grand highlight of the trip! I was consistently impressed with her vast knowledge and she’s a very caring individual as well. I feel I got to experience the best Orkney has to offer and highly recommend Wild Orkney Walks to anyone traveling to the islands.

Wish I could give Megan more than 5 stars!
I wish I could give Megan more than 5 stars! We had a gorgeous hike and I learned a lot about local wildflowers and birds. We even found a vole den – hopefully the stoats stay away from it! My husband and I really appreciated the care she took choosing our path for the day and very much enjoyed her company. When you’re passionate about the natural world and protecting it, it’s just always such a nice feeling to come across others around the world who share that love and that mentality of showing the planet kindness. Nature lovers – go meet this fellow member of our tribe if you’re in Orkney.

Wholehearted recommendation
My wife and I enjoyed the Mull Head Wildlife Walk with Megan a few weeks ago and I can only second all of the other glowing reviews for Megan. We chose this walk as our first activity on Orkney, the day after our arrival, and couldn’t have hoped for a better introduction to the island(s), its environment, wildlife, and so forth. As others have written, Megan’s knowledge is truly impressive, and the walk set us up brilliantly for the rest of our stay in the islands. Megan also sent us a followup email listing the flora and fauna we had seen on our walk: excellent “after-sales service”. Wholehearted recommendation.
